MY MISSION

Buongiorno, my name is Giorgio, I come from a region of the South of Italy called Puglia (or Apulia) and my hometown is Bari! I am a licensed tour guide, since 2010 and I don't like artichokes.

I am involved in an innovative tourism sector, different from the usual. After almost a decade of experience, in 2017 I chose to expand our offer, combining the classic walking tours with a new project aimed at satisfying the "tailor-made" needs of anyone who spends their holidays in Puglia and Basilicata. Hundreds of my guests have finally had the opportunity to immerse themselves in an authentic way in the beauties of our land, meeting the local people, rediscovering their roots, tasting local food, discovering cultures and traditions of the past, guided in a professional and fun way by a "local cousin", as I like to call myself!

"This was a tour about people, the family life and culture. It seemed like he knew everyone in the narrow winding streets and they all welcomed us as his guests. It was more than learning about the old way of life but actually experiencing it with the people. Anyone who enjoys or is interested in the history, lifestyle, food and wine of Italian culture at its original roots will thoroughly enjoys Giorgio's tour."

"Couldn't recommend this tour with Georgio highly enough. It was the highlight to our few days in Puglia. We were able to see so much in the one day which would have been impossible if we were doing it ourselves and Georgio was the perfect tour guide. Very knowledgeable and professional yet very personable. A wonderful day in a beautiful part of the world!"

Carol (Australia) - August 2017

"An absolutely wonderful tour that focused on local residents of Bari's Old City, but also included the standard monuments and history. The opportunity to meet various residents and talk with them, with Giorgio translating, was priceless. Tasting a variety of homemade foods, and enjoying a home made pasta lunch prepared in front of me added to my enjoyment of this tour which I strongly recommend."

A long weekend in Bari with 2 friends. We took a trip to Alberobello with Giorgio and very much enjoyed it. Giorgio is full of interesting information about the area and will tell you as much or as little as you want to know. He was great fun to have as a guide and obviously loves his region. Yes you could visit Alberobello by train or bus and look at the Trulli houses but you would miss so much that was interesting. Having a local guide was well worth the extra cost. Highly recommend.

For tours of both Matera and Alberobello, Giorgio is a phenomenal tour guide. He arrived on time, reviewed the itinerary and checked that it was good for me. He is friendly and caring. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about southern Italy! The information he shared helped bring to life both areas and greatly increased my understanding of the history and culture. He seems well known and well liked by the local people in each town. I highly recommend a tour with Giorgio!

Incredible day! Thanks Giorgio for making our day so special! We were impressed by how friendly, flexible, knowledgeable and the way you treat all the locals during the tour. The places you took us was breathtaking and we see why you are so proud of your home. It was a pleasure to meet you and your beautiful family! Ciao!

On a scale of 1 to 5, we give Giorgio at least a 6! He was very, very knowledgeable and he was a ton of fun. We toured Matera, where we were staying, and Alberobello. Without Giorgio, the history of Matera would have been lost and the history is fascinating. Giorgio not only gave us the history of Aberobello, but brought us into the trulli homes, allowing us to engage with the town in a special way. We were in Europe for five weeks, using several guides. Hands down, Georgio was the best.
